FatPirate Review
FatPirate has a genuinely large game selection, with more than 14,500 casino games. That includes slots, table games, jackpot games, scratch cards, speciality titles and a solid live casino. Alongside the casino games they also run a sportsbook where you can bet on sports fixtures and other events.
Naturally there are dedicated bonuses to claim for every gaming vertical, and you can even choose whether you want a welcome bonus for casino or for sports. Regular deposit bonuses, a bonus shop and a VIP club are among the other perks on offer.
The FatPirate website makes it clear this is an online casino that’s well set up for its players. Not only is the site modern and intuitive to navigate, it’s also fully localised and supports local currency for account holders. The payment methods on offer are equally well optimised, covering both fiat methods and cryptocurrency. If you need help, customer support is open around the clock.
FatPirate is best suited to players who want access to a big game library and who value no-sticky bonuses across all game types.

Bonuses and promotions at FatPirate
FatPirate has a broad bonus portfolio, so you can pick up several different bonus types each week. They offer deposit bonuses, loyalty bonuses in the shop and extra perks for VIP players. New players, meanwhile, have a big welcome package to look forward to.
Welcome bonus for new players
You can claim a bonus on each of your first four deposits at FatPirate. The welcome package includes both match bonuses and free spins, and in total you can pick up as much as €16,000 in bonus money and 350 spins. Here’s what the FatPirate welcome bonus gives you:
- 1st deposit: 100% bonus up to €2,500 + 100 free spins
– min. deposit: €20 - 2nd deposit: 100% bonus up to €3,500 + 50 free spins
– min. deposit: €20 - 3rd deposit: 50% bonus up to €6,000 + 50 free spins
– min. deposit: €20 - 4th deposit: 100% bonus up to €4,000 + 150 free spins
– min. deposit: €20
Unlike the way these bonuses work at most other online casinos, all the free spins from each deposit are credited at once. They aren’t spread out over several days. Having more spins to play at the same time also improves your chances of landing a decent win. The spins are awarded on a specific slot chosen by the casino.
Three of the deposit bonuses double your money, which is good news. Often only one or two of the offers in packages like this come with a 100% match. It’s also worth noting that these are no-sticky bonuses, meaning your own money isn’t tied up in the bonus terms. That makes the real value of these bonuses higher than at many other casinos with seemingly comparable offers.
No-sticky welcome bonuses that give you 100% extra are always good, and high rollers in particular will appreciate that the max bonus stake is a full €100.

Bonus terms for the FatPirate welcome bonus
The welcome bonus isn’t just no-sticky, it also comes with a low wagering requirement. Only 20x bonus and deposit applies, which is well below the industry standard of 30x (d+b). For free spin winnings, the wagering requirement is 40x. You have 10 days to convert the bonus money into real money, and this has to be done with stakes of no more than €100 per round. There’s also a cap on withdrawing bonus winnings. Match bonuses can pay out up to 10x the original bonus amount, while free spin winnings are limited to €50 or €100, depending on whether the bonus awarded more or fewer than 50 spins.
Alternative welcome bonuses
FatPirate has put together a separate welcome offer for sports betting, but choosing it means giving up the casino offer. If you want to bet on sports, this is the betting bonus available to you:
Sports welcome bonus:
- 1st deposit: 100% bonus up to €100
– min. deposit: €20
Different rules apply to this bonus than to the casino welcome bonus. The wagering requirement is set at 5x bonus and deposit, which is fairly good compared with other betting operators. With bonus money you can stake up to €50 per bet, and this has to be done either on singles with minimum odds of 2.00 or accumulators with minimum odds of 1.50.
Ongoing promotions and loyalty programme
Twice a week you can claim reload bonuses that come as match bonuses or free spins. On top of that there’s weekly cashback for live casino play and daily cashback for RNG casino games. The latter is only available to players on VIP level 3 and above, though. There are dedicated sports betting bonuses too, ranging from deposit matches to early payout. The promotions page shows you every active offer.
The general bonus terms stipulate a wagering requirement of 35x bonus and deposit, or 40x for free spin winnings. Different rules may apply to selected promotions, however, so it pays to check before you accept. Also note that there may be restrictions on which games qualify for bonus play. You’ll find the full overview in the general bonus terms (section 7 of the terms and conditions).

Your loyalty at FatPirate is rewarded with coins, which you collect as you play. You can then spend those coins in the bonus shop, where bonus money, free spins and free bets are all for sale. You decide whether to buy lots of small bonuses or save up until you can afford a big one.
Every player automatically becomes part of the VIP club, where there are five levels to work your way up. The higher you climb, the better the rewards. Reaching the top levels gets you increased cashback, tailored bonus offers, higher withdrawal limits and access to a VIP manager. Note that your VIP level is calculated based on your activity over the last 90 days.
Deposits and withdrawals at FatPirate
Players who sign up get euros as their account currency. You’ll also have access to all the most popular payment methods, such as Visa, Revolut and MiFinity. Other payment cards, e-wallets and prepaid vouchers are accepted as well, along with a long list of cryptocurrencies. There are no fees, and all fiat deposits are credited instantly, while crypto deposits can take a few minutes to land in your account depending on traffic on the blockchain.
For fiat methods, the transaction limits are low enough to suit cautious players, and most high rollers will find them acceptable too. Limits for cryptocurrencies are also fairly flexible, with the exception of Bitcoin, which has high minimums. You’ll find more information on the most popular payment methods at FatPirate in the table below.
| Payment method | Limits | Transaction time | Limits | Transaction time |
|---|---|---|---|---|

Withdrawals, verification and payout limits at FatPirate
Deposits must be wagered at least once before you can request a withdrawal of your winnings. You register the withdrawal in the FatPirate cashier, and as a general rule you should pick the same payment method you used for the deposit you won from. The payments department will process the withdrawal within 3 business days. Those three days are counted either from when the withdrawal was registered or from when the previous one was approved. Expect a fairly lengthy processing time, in other words.
FatPirate has also capped how much money you can withdraw per day and per month. You’ll find the limits in the table below, where we’ve broken them down by VIP level. Remember that your VIP level is calculated based on your activity over the last 90 days, so your limits can change if you play more or less over a given period.
| VIP level | Withdrawals per day | Withdrawals per month |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | €500 | €7,000 |
| 2 | €500 | €10,000 |
| 3 | €800 | €12,000 |
| 4 | €1,000 | €15,000 |
| 5 | €2,000 | €20,000 |
Before a withdrawal can be approved, you also need to complete KYC verification. That means you’ll be asked to upload some documents to your player profile. Valid ID and proof of address issued within the last three months are required from every player. You may also be asked to document that you’ve only used payment methods belonging to you.
Each required document comes with specific rules about what should and shouldn’t be visible. When verifying a payment card, for example, you need to cover part of the card number so that only the first six and last four digits are showing. The CVC code must be covered too. If the documents you submit don’t meet the criteria, they’ll be rejected, which means even longer delays before your withdrawal can be approved.
The games at FatPirate
There are five main game categories at FatPirate: Casino, Live Casino, Jackpots, Sports and Live Betting. The casino itself holds more than 14,500 unique games, and these too are categorised so you can easily find the game type you’re after. The game menu lists Top, New, Popular, Bonus Buy, Slots, Megaways, Instant Games, Table Games, Live Games, All Games and All Jackpots. There’s also a filter showing you every provider, and there are 136 of them.
For this casino test we went through the entire game catalogue, and overall we were pleased with the selection. We think the variety is good across almost every category, so every player should be able to find games that suit them. We also kept an eye on how many new games launch each week, and found it varies from 10 to more than 30. That means there’s always something new and interesting to try.
Game providers
As mentioned, there are 136 game providers at FatPirate, a good number when it comes to creating solid variety in game types, features and mechanics. It also looks like the casino has made deliberate choices to include both the big providers with hundreds of games, who may not lead the field on innovation, and smaller developers who focus more on breaking new ground.
The biggest game providers at FatPirate include Spinomenal, Playtech, Pragmatic Play, Fazi, Yggdrasil and VoltEnt. At the other end of the scale you’ll find names like Hold Your Hat, Kiron, Mega and Animo. From time to time the casino also adds new developers.
Slots and jackpot games
Slots is by far the biggest category at FatPirate, with more than 11,700 games in this section alone. You’ll find everything from simple, classic slots to modern, innovative titles. To make it easier to track down the machines you want to play, it’s worth using the popular or new game categories so you can quickly see which slots other players rate most highly. Megaways and Bonus Buy are two more groupings well worth checking out.
If you want to win a jackpot, you can do so in more than 1,500 of the games at FatPirate. These are grouped into the following categories: GrandPot, Hot Jackpots, Lucky Jackpots, New Jackpots, Drops & Wins, Daily Jackpots, Jackpot Games and All Jackpots. What’s a little disappointing is that the vast majority of these games offer either a fixed jackpot or a relatively small progressive one. The very biggest jackpot games simply aren’t included.
Live casino and table games
The FatPirate live casino holds more than 600 games. The vast majority are various types of table games, but there’s also a good number of game shows and other speciality titles. The live games come from several studios, including Playtech, BetGamesTV, ICONIC21 and OnAir Entertainment. These are good providers, but we miss Evolution.
Finding the games you want to try your luck on is easy using the categories. Choose between Top Live Casino Games, Roulette, Blackjack, Game Shows, Poker, Baccarat and Dice, All Live Games and Gold Saloon. Classic versions of the games are here alongside modern variants. Tables with different stake limits are available too, so there are options whatever your budget and strategy.
Sports betting and odds
Sports betting is offered both pre-match and live, with all the most popular sports represented. Football has the most fixtures to bet on, but tennis, basketball, table tennis and boxing all offer good coverage too. On the bet slip you can choose whether to place singles, accumulators or combo bets.
The sports menu clearly marks which sports offer live odds. These usually come with more outcomes to bet on, but you’ll need to be quick, as the odds shift continuously. Beyond the usual sports with live betting, there’s also a good selection of esports, with titles you can bet on typically including League of Legends, Valorant and Counter-Strike 2.
Licence, security and responsible gambling
FatPirate is an online casino that operates without being regulated by a gambling authority. Instead of a gambling licence, they hold a corporate licence issued in Costa Rica. This licence allows the company to run a business offering gambling services, but it isn’t tied to any authority overseeing the operations and procedures behind the actual gambling side of the casino.
Without a recognised casino licence, it’s impossible to verify how secure FatPirate really is. It’s up to the casino itself whether to follow industry standards, and nobody checks whether they actually have the safeguards they claim to have. There are some aspects we have good reason to believe are solid, though. We can see that the website is protected with secure TLS encryption, for instance, and that they work with licensed game providers. That means those providers have had their games tested and approved by the relevant testing agencies.
As part of our FatPirate test, we also looked into the processes and tools offered to support responsible gambling. We found no way to set limits for deposits, losses, wagering or session length. This was disappointing, as it potentially makes things risky for players at risk of developing gambling problems. The only way to limit your play at FatPirate is to self-exclude from the casino, meaning you block your access by either pausing or closing your account.
What FatPirate does do fairly well on responsible gambling is maintain a dedicated page on the subject. There you can read about the various warning signs to watch out for. They’ve also chosen to link to organisations that offer help and support for players with gambling problems.
User experience and mobile play
We really have nothing to fault about the usability at FatPirate. The site is easy to navigate, with logical game categories and easily accessible services such as customer support, the cashier and the terms and conditions. The fact that the whole site is fully localised is another plus, and of course we appreciate that they’ve gone further by supporting EUR as a currency.
The experience on mobile is just as good, and whether you’re on a phone or tablet you play through the browser. The site adjusts to give you the best possible experience whatever your screen size. You have access to the same games and services from every device, and as long as you have a stable, decent internet connection the site loads quickly too.
Customer support at FatPirate
If you need help, you can start a live chat straight from the website or send an email. Customer support is open around the clock, so you can expect almost immediate assistance via chat. Email can take somewhat longer, though, and when we tested it, it took a maximum of 3 hours to receive a reply. For general questions you can also browse the FatPirate FAQ in the help centre.
During our FatPirate test we contacted customer support four times, asking both simple and more difficult questions. The aim was to assess the friendliness, response time and knowledge of the agents we dealt with. Most of our questions concerned account verification, licensing and security, bonus terms and responsible gambling. We were happy with the help overall, and it seemed like the agents took the time to understand our questions before answering, which is actually far less common than you’d think.
How we tested FatPirate
We tested FatPirate using Kingbonus’s standard methodology for online casinos. This methodology was developed by our editorial team to ensure a fair, thorough and objective casino test covering every aspect that matters to players. You can read about some of the most important areas we examined below.
- Terms and registration: Before completing the registration of our gaming account at FatPirate, we read through the full terms and conditions carefully. We were mainly looking for conditions that work against players and deviate from standard casino rules.
- Welcome bonus: We used the entire welcome package, depositing €50 for each of our first deposits. While using the bonuses, we checked that they worked the same way as described in the bonus terms. We also went through the other promotion rules and the general bonus conditions.
- Deposits, withdrawals and KYC: For deposits we used Revolut, MiFinity, Visa and Ethereum. We made just one withdrawal, sent to our Revolut IBAN account, since Revolut was the winning deposit method. A full KYC verification was completed as well.
- Games and casino lobby: We mostly played slots, but also tried some of the live dealer games and placed a few sports bets. We then assessed the full game catalogue and the providers to get an overview of the variety and quality of the games on offer.
- Customer support: We contacted customer support four times, using both live chat and email. We picked questions designed to test the agents’ knowledge of issues that matter to everyday players. Response time, friendliness and professionalism were also aspects we evaluated.
- Responsible gambling tools: We went through the responsible gambling page and also asked customer support for advice and tips. Since FatPirate doesn’t offer any responsible gambling tools, it wasn’t possible for us to test them.
Who is FatPirate best suited to?
After our FatPirate test, we can conclude that this casino site suits some player segments but not all. Below you’ll find our assessment of which players are likely to enjoy it here and which would be better off finding another casino to play at.
Best suited to:
- Players who like having plenty of different bonus types available
- Players who want to play casino games and bet on sports
- Players who value a user-friendly, well-localised website
Less suitable for:
- Players who want fast withdrawal processing and high payout limits
- Players who exclusively play at licensed online casinos
Our verdict and rating for FatPirate
FatPirate is an online casino with both strengths and weaknesses. Where they do best is game selection, offering a very varied and strong library across almost every category. Bonuses are another area where they stand out, particularly in terms of the different bonus types available. We especially like that the bonuses are no-sticky and that the welcome bonus comes with a low wagering requirement, even if we’d have preferred winnings not to be capped at 10x. Payment methods are something else FatPirate has handled well.
The drawbacks here come down to lengthy withdrawal processing, low daily and weekly withdrawal limits, and security. It’s potentially risky that they operate without a valid gambling licence, and disappointing that they don’t offer more responsible gambling tools.
Our verdict, therefore, has to be a somewhat cautious recommendation.
