Blixtpay and Incharge casinos (Unavailable)

As of mid-2025 (June 2025 to be precise), Blixtpay and Incharge shut down their services. Why? Intergiro Intl AB was stripped of its license to continue being a payment provider after the Financial Supervisory Authority (FI) issued a verdict.

For several years, Incharge and its companion method Blixtpay were part of the small but growing set of payment options that casinos offered to players across Europe. Both were built on Intergiro’s electronic money license in Sweden. And for a while, they did a pretty good job of combining digital wallet functionality with smooth casino deposits and withdrawals. But that chapter is now closed. Here’s what happened, including what players experienced before the shutdown, and where the best alternatives lie moving forward.

Unavailable Blixtpay and Incharge services

So, which services are unavailable as of now? To understand that, you need to know how Incharge and Blixtpay worked, and that is an app bearing an IBAN from Sweden, a Visa card (both physical and virtual), and a channel to withdraw money to your account.

According to the supervisory decision, this entire payment chain is now unavailable. That means you cannot deposit funds into your casino account using this option and neither can you process withdrawals from casinos. Actually, casinos that list this payment method no longer display it.

The reasons behind Intergiro’s license revocation

According to FI’s investigations and consequent findings, Intergiro was in violation of money laundering and terrorist regulations. And regulators don’t see these as technicalities.

Intergiro, in fact, failed to do any risk assessments and had no means by which to keep tabs on its problematic customers who were at a high risk of falling into gambling addiction. The payment system also lacked adequate mechanisms to report transactions that were of concern.

Due to these defects, Integiro had to be declared bankrupt on July 21, 2025, after the Swedish regulators forced it to close on June 17. The announcement of the decision then followed on June 18, 2025, commencing the process of winding up the entire business.

Indeed, September 19, 2025, was the last day to wind up the business. In practice, this is equivalent to suspending service but with a free give-up period for users to get their money.

SEPA transfers allowed during winding up

For Incharge and Blixtpay users to withdraw their money, FI allowed certain operations to continue in order to protect customers. One of these operations is allowing SEPA transactions (withdrawals only) to continue until deadline day (September 19, 2025). So, it’s advisable to withdraw any money you still have because the window could close earlier.

How Incharge and Blixtpay worked

In many ways, Blixtpay was sort of a digital wallet. That meant you could move your money to the wallet from other sources, including your bank account. Afterwards, you can use the funds to pay for various goods or services. But where does Incharge come in?

For starters, Blixtpay offers users several unique solutions, and once you open a Blixtpay account, you’ll also get the payment app, which is Incharge. Both solutions are fully integrated under the same company. Next, you will receive a Swedish bank account complete with a VISA card and IBAN. With these two, you can transfer funds smoothly, even for Norwegian customers.

Online casinos that accepted Inarge and Blixplay before

You’d mostly find Blixtpay at mid-tier European online casinos, especially newer brands looking to offer alternatives beyond traditional options like Trustly and Visa. Actually, while it never became a household name in the way Skrill or Neteller once did, it was commonplace in Sweden, Finland and neighbouring markets.

The pros and cons of Incharge and Blixplay (while still functional)

Looking back, it’s easy to see why Incharge and Blixtpay drew attention in the casino payments scene. Of course, they weren’t around long enough to become household names, but they did carve out a small, loyal following thanks to how fresh and efficient they felt compared to the usual card and bank transfer options. In the same breath, their limited reach and reliance on a single license only meant cracks would eventually emerge.

Pros (back then)

Cons (back then)

The final nail on Intergiro’s existence

The turning point for Intergiro happened in June 2025 after FI issued its supervisory decision. Now, regulators don’t revoke licenses lightly, but when they do, it’s generally the last nail in the coffin. For intergiro, the final nail has been set to September 19, which is when they must wind everything down. In fact, Carler, a Stockholm law firm, was appointed to administer the bankruptcy estate.

On the other hand, casino players were allowed to conduct SEPA transfers, albeit temporarily, during this window. That means customers could have a chance to pull out their Incharge balances, but no new gambling transactions could be processed.

What the closure means for casino users

You can look at the closure of Incharge and Blixtpay through two lenses as a casino user. First, there is the obvious reason which is an inconvenience for players who were used to this payment method. Missing out on instant withdrawals stings and the thought that you could lose your money is scary.

On the other hand, players who have already withdrawn their money during this window can switch to other payment solutions such as MiFinity, Revolut, or bank cards. So, technically, there’s not much that will be affected.

But on the operators’ side, that means a scramble to update cashier pages to reflect the recent changes. And as the rush continues, it seems a handful are leaning heavily on Trustly and Zimpler to fill the gap.

Alternative payment solutions in 2025

For players who previously found Incharge and Blixplay so convenient, the pulling of the rug there means a change in how you deposit and withdraw money. But there are many other alternative filters available, and in this section, we’ll quickly check them out. (For a full explainer on how each method operates, check out our full articles.)

Visa and Mastercard

Credit or debit cards remain among the most popular deposit methods for casino players. Secondly, regardless of whether you decide to go with Visa or Mastercard, you can always be at peace; your transactions are definitely secured, but the processing time may take up to 3 business days

Then there’s the issue about bank policy that restricts gambling activities powered by bank cards. That’s why you might see card rejections even when everything seems perfect.

Revolut

Revolut combines the features of digital banking with multi-currency IBAN accounts and Mastercard/Visa debit cards. What you get is a versatile tool that allows you to deposit funds at online casinos that support this option. Actually, the linked IBAN can streamline withdrawals too, which means supporting faster payout options and centralizing funds management. But you need to confirm your casino’s transaction policies.

Bank transfer (IBAN)

Nothing like the classic bank transfer when dealing with payments. It gets the job done despite the long wait times of up to 5 working days. Still, you get to enjoy positives such as transparency when tracking your transactions. But as is the standard when dealing with bank transfers, you must have the SWIFT/IBAN code at your fingertips to complete any transaction.

MiFinity

MiFinity acts as an eWallet, which you can fund from several sources and also use as a withdrawal option at online casinos. With this option, you won’t need to expose your bank account to gambling activities. Plus, you’ll have the option to cash out your winnings to the same destination. But even as you choose MiFinity, keep in mind the associated fees and currency conversion. You can read more about this option in our detailed review.

Luxon Pay

What Luxon Pay does is allow you to use the product just like any other eWallet on the street. But what sets it apart is that it charges customers no fees when its users withdraw, deposit, exchange or even transfer money around the world. It gets even more interesting since Luxon Pay is based on peer-to-peer. Data here isn’t all daisies and sunshine, however, because there are still transfer limits, it’d be great to have confirmed before you get too deep in a transaction.

Cryptocurrency

With increased regulations, many operators are opting for crypto payments to bridge the payment gap. A new bright spot for cryptocurrencies is that there are no KYC checks, with the caveat that you may have to do this at the casino. And there is the benefit of processing payments as quickly as possible through different networks (LTC, USDT, ETH, or BTC). Not sure how to get started with cryptocurrencies? Useful tips for Incharge and Blixtpay

If you do still have any money on your account, the immediate next action is to perform a SEPA withdrawal on your account, at least before 19th September 2025. After that, the process of winding up will step into full liquidation, and it may be that getting your money back will be a matter of filing a claim with the administrator, rather than just a “withdrawal.” That said, here is how to navigate the entire process:

The end for Incharge and Blixtpay

Incharge and Blixtpay are now in the rearview mirror. They were once promising payment solutions for online casino gamblers but they’ve now been pulled under by their parent company’s (Intergiro) regulatory failures that include AML/CFT violations. But even in its fall, it showed how much players value speed and low-friction transactions, and in that sense, they raised the bar. Still, as of autumn 2025, casino users have no choice but to move on.

With all said and done, the payments landscape never stays still, and if there’s a lesson here, it’s that flexibility matters. Today it’s Blixtpay, tomorrow it might be another niche eWallet. What this teaches players is it’s important to have a mix of reliable options like traditional cards, modern wallets, and even cryptocurrencies. That way, you keep your casino experience running smoothly, no matter which provider disappears next.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are Incharge and Blixtpay casino deposits or withdrawals still valid?
Incharge and Blixtpay are no longer in operation, as they were both forced to close shop as their ordinary operations were closed down in June of 2025, just after FI revoked Intergiro’s license. There was a brief exception: customers were free to move existing money out until 19 September 2025.
Why were they shut down?
Earlier this month, Swedish regulator Finansinspektionen said there were serious deficiencies in the anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist processes at Intergiro, the company that operates Blixtpay and Incharge. That, in turn, caused its license to be revoked.
Am I still going to be able to get my money out of Incharge?
Yes, you can withdraw any money you have in your Incharge account but only until the wind-up deadline of September 19, 2025. After that time, getting back your money is a procedure in which you must file a claim with the bankruptcy administrator, and that is hard and long.
What other payment methods can players use?
Many players have started moving to more reliable alternatives such as Mastercard/Visa, Revolut, and MiFinity. Others are also turning to the likes of PayDo and Luxon Pay, and in markets where possible, cryptocurrency is also becoming a more popular alternative.
Is there any chance Blixtpay comes back under another brand?
It’s highly unlikely that Blixtpay or Incharge will make a comeback. That’s because the method was tightly bound to Intergiro’s license, and with that license gone, the infrastructure behind Blixtpay doesn’t have a way forward.
